the story take several years after the defeat of the evil majiin boo (the little one). the villain in this movie is Bills (Bisuru in japan version) whom is a god of destruction. 36 years ago a clairvoyant of his has foreseen that 36 years ahead a man whose have a god strength will born, then he sleep in his slumber for 36 year, then woke up. the rest watch it yourself, cuz if i tell it all here, it won’t be fun.
the story itself is a typical of DBZ, there is an entity whose give threat to destroy earth then goku and his friends try to prevent that from happening.
Animation:
good animation was shown on this movie, the 3D animation sometimes make me feel i playing PS2. the aura effect is also nice to see.
Sound:
the soundtrack is also good, a little different from the series but not stray too far. the movie soundtrack is a bit techno style. the seiyuu is also the same as the series, so i don’t feel any strange thing from the changing of voice actor/actress. the sound of clashing fist (:3 there’s rarely of clashing sword on DB) make the battle feel more powerfull.
Character:
overall the main characters does not have that much difference from the DBZ itself. so let’s talk about Bills (Bisuru) the villain. Bills is a god of destruction whose already destroy countless planet. the cheerful character of his make him a little unfit to become a villain. he lack ambition as a villain (maybe since he is a god). the battle between goku and him also only pure battle to satisfied their own “want to fight strong opponent” felling, that make the battle is less intense. no emotional battle as in DBZ when goku vs freeze or gohan vs Cell. Enjoyment:
it’s a quite good movie overall, it lacks impact but still worth to watch.
